Why Are CMOs Dropping Like Flies?

Adam Kleinberg takes a look at a recent Russell Reynolds Associates study about the turnover in Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs). Although the turnover is chronic in other industries, the reason for it is pertinent to the water and wastewater industry. Kleinberg argues that the focus on short-term sales hurts companies in the long-run when they don’t sufficiently invest the marketing resources in also building their brand:
